A Merry and Blessed Christmas

24 Dec

smoked pork shank, rum cake, tamales, dance, christmas 079

From the balmy environs of South Texas, even the jumping cactus heralds the joy of the season.  Merry Christmas from the Deerslayer, the deerslayer’s wife, and the whole clan.

Nice picture of Jumping Cactus. It is my least favorite type of cactus. As a mountain biker and hiker, I have a healthy fear and try an avoid it at all cost.

I’m glad you liked the picture. It always amazes me that many of the things in South Texas that are the most beautiful are also the most prickly and dangerous.
